What is AWS Startup Loft Accelerator?

The AWS Startup Loft Accelerator program is a 10-week virtual acceleration program for early-stage cloud-based startups.

The program enables startups to maximize the value of AWS by providing them with AWS tech resources, to validate their business by industry leaders, to access investors and to accelerate their time to market. The program structure is based on four pillars crucial to a startup’s success in its early days: Technology, Product, Go-to-market and Funding. The program puts the entrepreneur at the center allowing startups to build their own personalized program out of the AWS Startup Loft Accelerator session and content offering.

Who is AWS Startup Loft Accelerator aimed at?

The AWS Startup Loft Accelerator program was created to support entrepreneurs in the earliest stages of their startup. It is designed for startups that have begun building a working prototype or proof of concept. Participants must be committed to their startup and working full-time on its development. AWS Startup Loft Accelerator is industry and vertical agnostic, although all companies should have plans to run their infrastructure on the cloud.

Mode of the Program

The program is virtual. The AWS Startup team is spread across EMEA and will provide additional resources with a regional focus where needed.

Which sessions will be available to participating startups?

AWS Startup Loft Accelerator offers an extensive catalog of curated content: technical deep-dive workshops, round tables with investors and professional advisors, fireside chats with founders and networking events. All are hosted virtually and open for registration to AWS Startup Loft Accelerator participants only.

Benefits

Participating startups will benefit from AWS’ vast resources and network of industry and tech experts.

Startup founders will benefit from access to the AWS Startup team’s extensive network of venture capital funds and angel investors.

On the tech front, startups will work with AWS Solution Architects, technology and industry experts, enabling them to quickly innovate, build and grow.

Additionally, startups will gain access to our network of external, world-class advisors across a wide variety of relevant disciplines such as design, product, finance and HR.

Last but not least, every participating startup will receive up to $25,000* in AWS Activate credits.

How will AWS determine who is accepted to participate in the program?

AWS looks at the team, market and idea – in that order. They choose high-potential founders who are proposing products that solve real problems or create meaningful innovations. AWS is more likely to accept companies with two or more founders as we believe having multiple founders increases the skills pool. Nothing is too early. AWS has accepted companies with no more than an idea, a dream or one customer.

Eligible Countries

The program is currently open to all startups who are located in the following countries; Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Angola, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Benin, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Estonia, Finland, France, Gabon, Gambia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Hungary, Iceland, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Malta, Mauritania, Mauritius, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Netherlands, Niger, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Norway, Oman, Palestine (West Bank and Gaza Strip), Poland, Portugal, Romania, Rwanda, San Marino, Sao Tome & Principe, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Slovakia, Slovenia, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Spain, Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Vatican, Yemen, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
