Building Bridges Project for Creatives: Cohort 2
Are you a Nigerian creative passionate about addressing social issues through your art? Apply for the Building Bridges Project for Creatives, a training program by the Simply Poetry Foundation, in partnership with the Dike Chukwumerije Center, and funded by the Ford Foundation. This 8-week program (6 weeks of online learning, with a 2-week residency in Abuja) empowers creatives to counter polarizing narratives through socially conscious art.

Eligibility:

  • Aged 18-40 and residing in Nigeria
  • Skilled in spoken word, dance, music, visual arts, film/theatre production, and/or scriptwriting
  • Passionate about addressing social issues, particularly issues of tribalism and religious bigotry, in Nigeria
  • Able to attend the 6 weeks of online classes 31 May 2025 – 13 July 2025
  • Able to physically attend the 2-week residency in Abuja 14 – 27 July 2025
