Barely 3 months after collaborating with Binance to provide 500 tech scholarships, AltSchool Africa has now joined forces with Bybit to support 1,000 young Africans in developing in-demand digital skills.
According to the announcement, selected applicants will enroll in AltSchool Africa’s Diploma program, which offers courses in:
- Software Engineering
- Data Analytics
- Product Management
Beyond technical training, participants will receive additional support, including:
- Mentorship
- Career counseling
- Hands-on project experience
This initiative is designed to equip students with the skills required to build successful careers and contribute meaningfully to the tech industry.
A Commitment to Tech Education
AltSchool Africa CEO, Adewale Yusuf, described the partnership as more than just a scholarship program. He emphasized that the initiative reflects a shared goal of preparing young Africans with the skills needed to advance their communities in the digital economy.
Bybit’s Head of Africa, Joshua Yau, highlighted the importance of investing in human capital and how technology can serve as a driver for positive transformation.
Bybit’s COO, Helen Liu, reinforced this message, stating that education plays a key role in shaping opportunities and that the collaboration with AltSchool Africa and the establishment of the Bybit Academy are steps toward ensuring African talent is ready for the future.
Scholarship Eligibility
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Score at least 85% in AltSchool Africa’s entrance assessment
- Be African
- Be willing to serve as a Bybit ambassador
- Commit to completing the program
- Submit an essay (1,000 words or less) detailing their story and how the scholarship will support their goals
