The Federal Government Creative Economy Development Fund offers large-ticket investments of $100,000 for creative businesses to scale production and access new markets.

The Federal Government Creative Economy Development Fund represents a significant national investment in the creative sector, recognizing its potential as a driver of economic growth and cultural diplomacy.

The Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy (FMACTCE) is pleased to announce the rollout of the Creative Economy Development Fund (CEDF), a landmark initiative approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

The CEDF 2025 is designed to catalyze growth, innovation, and sustainable financing for Nigeria’s creative and cultural industries, in line with the government’s commitment to creating jobs, stimulating economic diversification, and boosting Nigeria’s global cultural footprint.

Eligibility Requirements 

The CEDF 2025 is open to individuals, businesses, and institutions across the creative and cultural economy, including:

Writers and publishers

Artists and fashion designers

Filmmakers and directors

Gaming studios

Cultural tourism providers

Training institutions

Media agencies

Digital platforms

Legal and logistics service providers

Benefits of Creative Economy Development Fund CEDF 2025

The Creative Economy Development Fund (CEDF) to empower creatives, entrepreneurs, and organizations within the cultural and creative industries.

The CEDF as a strategic national investment designed to unlock the immense potential of Nigeria’s creative sector and elevate it as a catalyst for economic growth and cultural diplomacy.

Objectives 

Stimulating Growth in Creative and Cultural Industries.

Providing the capital injection needed for businesses in sectors such as film, music, fashion, art, publishing, gaming, cultural tourism etc.,

To expand production and reach new markets.

Opening up of new financing avenues for creative entrepreneurs and organizations..

Empowering creative businesses for the creation of new jobs and livelihoods, especially for youths.

Establishing a transformative model for securitizing and collateralizing intellectual property.
