The Femme Forward Nigeria Program is a 3-month virtual program established to support, empower, and uplift young Nigerian women between the ages of 20-25 so they can overcome career hurdles through the power of peer collaboration while exposing them to local and global opportunities.

For this cohort, we will be selecting 10 Participants. Application ends 28th August 2024, 11:59 pm. We highly encourage you to refer others too!

Selection Criteria

  • Age: Youth girls aged between 20 to 25.
  • Enthusiasm: Demonstrated interest in personal development, leadership, and overcoming challenges.
  • Commitment: Willingness to actively participate and engage in regular circle meetings.
  • Diversity: Aiming for a diverse group, considering backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
  • Availability: Ability to commit to regular meetings, ideally 2 to 3 times a month.
  • Open-mindedness: Willingness to share experiences, listen to others, and embrace diverse viewpoints.
  • Long-Term Engagement: Intent to remain part of the circle for at least three months

Benefits of the Program

By participating in this Femme Circle, girls can expect to experience several positive impacts:

  • Increase self-awareness and self-esteem: Through introspective activities and open discussions, women will gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their strengths, and their potential.
  • Enhance communication and interpersonal skills: focus on effective communication techniques, active listening, and assertiveness, empowering youth to navigate various professional and personal settings confidently.
  • Build leadership qualities and confidence: Through mentorship opportunities, guest speaker sessions, and guided self-reflection, women will develop the leadership qualities necessary for success, empowering them to become influential leaders in their fields.
  • Encourage peer support and collaboration: The Femme Circle will foster a spirit of collaboration and create a supportive network among participants. Together, girls will share resources, experiences, and provide encouragement to one another.
  • Provide a platform for sharing experiences and learning from others: The circle will create a safe and non-judgmental environment where they can share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs. Through shared stories, women will gain diverse perspectives and knowledge.
  • Promote personal and professional growth: The circle will provide opportunities for skill-building and workshops, helping them develop crucial abilities such as public speaking, negotiation, time management, and more. We aim to support overall growth and uplift girls in all areas of life.
  • Exposure to local and global opportunities for themselves and businesses
