Call for Applications: GIZ Female Talents in Construction Project Cohort 2

Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified persons to participate in a free three-month skill upgrade training in the Female Talents in Construction Project 2024. Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in collaboration with Invest for Jobs, is excited to announce the launch of the second cohort of the Female Talents in Construction (FTC) Project. This initiative is aimed at empowering women in the construction industry through specialized training and certification.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: Must be a graduate from a TVET institution or a practitioner in any of the following trade areas: Masonry, Plumbing, Electrical Engineering, Carpentry, Furnishing and Upholstery, Welding and Fabrication, and Heavy-Duty Equipment Operation.
  • Age: Must be between 15 and 35 years old.
  • Location: Must reside within the Greater Accra Region, Ghana.
  • Literacy: Must be able to read and write.

  • Employment Opportunities: Gain the chance for direct employment with participating companies.
  • Soft Skills Development: Build the necessary soft skills to combat stereotypes against women in the TVET sector.
  • Comprehensive Training: Engage in a three-month intensive training program, including one month of theory and two months of practical skills.
