GCF, the world’s largest multilateral climate fund, is offering internships at its headquarters in Songdo, South Korea for 2026.

Who Can Apply (Eligibility Criteria)
GCF welcomes applications from all nationalities, with a strong encouragement for qualified candidates from developing countries.
You should be either:
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD programme, OR
- A recent graduate (recently completed a relevant degree)
Fields of study or interest that align with GCF’s mandate are most relevant, including — but not limited to — climate change & sustainability, environmental sciences, economics & finance, international development, policy, law, public policy, project management, or related disciplines.
Excellent English proficiency is required (additional languages may be an asset).
Duration & Location
- Initial Duration: 6 months (with possible extension to 12 months)
- Location: Headquarters in Songdo, Incheon City, Republic of Korea (in-person, on-site)

- Look for current internship postings during the recruitment window. Internship adverts appear there each recruitment cycle.
- Prepare your application materials: updated CV/resume, cover letter (motivation & interest in climate/sustainability), academic credentials or recent-degree certificate, and any relevant work or academic records.
- Submit before the stated deadline. GCF doesn’t charge any application fee.
- If shortlisted, expect an online assessment or video interview, followed by a panel interview — final selections typically announced a few months ahead of internship start.
