Applications are now open for Halcyon’s 2026 Global Climate Fellowship, a prestigious global program designed to support innovative entrepreneurs developing solutions for climate adaptation and resilience. The Fellowship targets founders who are building scalable ventures that respond to some of the most urgent climate challenges facing communities worldwide.

Through a carefully designed hybrid format, selected entrepreneurs will participate in a one-week in-person residency in Washington, DC, multiple virtual programming sessions, and a final one-week in-person residency in Los Angeles, California. The program combines hands-on training, expert guidance, and access to a powerful global network to help founders accelerate impact and growth.

About the Fellowship

Halcyon’s Global Climate Fellowship supports early-stage ventures with a working product and clear potential to scale. The program equips founders with practical tools in product-market fit, capital strategy, and leadership, while connecting them with investors, advisors, and peers working across the climate ecosystem.

Focus Areas
The Fellowship supports ventures addressing climate adaptation and resilience, including but not limited to:

  • Renewable and resilient energy systems and storage
  • Adaptive infrastructure and green building technologies
  • Climate intelligence and early-warning systems
  • Climate-smart agriculture and food systems
  • WaterTech and resilient water systems
  • Blue economy and coastal resilience
  • Financial resilience to climate shocks, including climate insurance

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Location: Open to founders globally
  • Stage: Must have a working Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with evidence of early user feedback or commercial validation such as pilots, letters of intent, or revenue
  • Team: Applicants may apply with up to one co-founder
  • Leadership: Applicant must be the CEO or hold primary decision-making authority
  • Language: Fluency in English is required
  • Age: Must be at least 21 years old by the start of the program
  • Commitment: Must be able to participate fully in all in-person residencies, virtual sessions, and program activities
  • Impact: Venture must contribute to one or more of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals

What Fellows Receive
Selected ventures will benefit from:

  • Six thousand dollars in equity-free stipend per venture
  • Ten thousand dollars in Amazon Web Services credits
  • Expert-led workshops on product-market fit, capital strategy, and leadership
  • Access to professional advisors and mentors
  • Networking opportunities with investors and climate stakeholders in Washington, DC and Los Angeles
  • Membership in Halcyon’s global community of over 600 founders
  • Continued post-program benefits and support

Program Structure
The final cohort will include 10 ventures from across the world. The Fellowship is delivered through a hybrid model consisting of a virtual kickoff, two one-week in-person residencies in the United States, and additional virtual programming sessions. Founders receive structured training using Halcyon’s proven methodology and gain access to critical resources and partnerships to accelerate their ventures.

December 8, 2025 – Application window opens
January 15, 2026 – Deadline to submit eligibility application
Mid-January 2026 – Invitational applications sent on a rolling basis
January 23, 2026 – Invitational application deadline
February 24–25, 2026 – Virtual pitch days for finalists
March 6, 2026 – Selected founders notified
April 7, 2026 – Virtual program kickoff
April 24 – May 1, 2026 – Residency Week 1 in Washington, DC
May 20, 2026 – Virtual meeting
June 17, 2026 – Virtual meeting
July 8, 2026 – Virtual meeting
August 12, 2026 – Virtual meeting
September 11 – 18, 2026 – Residency Week 2 in Los Angeles, California
