Call For Applications: HBS Startup Pitch Competition 2024 ($20,000 prize)

Are you an early-stage startup working on innovative climate solutions? Apply now for the Climate Symposium at HBS Startup Pitch Competition 2024. They offer you the chance to accelerate your journey. Select startups will receive exclusive coaching from Harvard Business School students, invaluable networking opportunities with climate-focused investors, and the opportunity to pitch your solution in our finals competition.

The best part? You’ll be competing for non-dilutive cash prizes of up to $22,500, designed to help you scale your impact without giving up equity!

Program Details

This competition is a key component of the Climate Symposium; it brings together the best and brightest early stage entrepreneurs fighting the climate crisis and offers the opportunity for six companies to present on stage to the judging panel of experienced climate investors. Previous winners have gone on to raise tens of millions of dollars in venture funding and are well on their way to making gigaton-scale impact.

Eligibility

The startup pitch competition is open to all entrepreneurs working to develop innovative solutions that help solve the climate crisis. Competing startups should:

  • be developing a climate-related venture
  • have raised less than $1M in funding (excluding grants)

Prizes

  • Winner will receive $20,000
  • Runner up will receive $5,000
  • Crowd favorite will receive $2,500

Pitch

Finalists will pitch live in front of over 500 attendees at Harvard Business School on November 2, 2024.

Judges will include experienced representatives from leading names in the cleantech space. Last year this included:

  • Breakthrough Energy Ventures
  • Clean Energy Ventures
  • Planeteer Capital
  • The Engine
