Education is a fundamental right and a catalyst for social transformation, yet millions of girls remain excluded due to systemic barriers. Early marriage, gender-based violence, financial constraints, and deeply rooted cultural norms continue to deny girls access to quality education, especially in marginalized communities. Without urgent action, these challenges will persist, limiting opportunities for young women and weakening societal progress.
The HER Voice Change-Makers Fellowship, an initiative of the Young Leaders Network with support from Malala Fund, is a bold response to this crisis. This 12-month fellowship is designed to cultivate a new generation of female advocates who will challenge inequities, influence policies, and lead grassroots movements for girls’ education. Through intensive training in leadership and advocacy, access to essential tools, and a strong support network, fellows will be empowered to dismantle barriers and push for systemic reforms.
The program focuses on equipping young women to champion policies and initiatives that advance equitable access to education, improve retention rates for girls, and advocate for the re-entry of pregnant and married girls into the school system. By fostering a network of committed changemakers, the HER Voice Change-Makers Fellowship is not just an investment in individuals but a strategic intervention to drive sustainable change in the education landscape.
