Share

iHatch is Nigeria’s premier incubation programme, launched by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Since its inception, iHatch has supported over 50 startups, driving innovation in key sectors such as fintech, agritech, and health tech. This five-month intensive programme equips startups with mentorship, training, and access to resources, empowering them to tackle social challenges with scalable, tech-enabled solutions.

Now entering its fourth cohort, iHatch is expanding its vision. This year, iHatch is not just supporting startups—it is  equipping the innovation hubs that sustain them.

Program Overview:  iHatch for Hubs: Cohort 4

Are you a hub manager ready to amplify your impact? iHatch for Hubs is a groundbreaking initiative designed to upskill hub managers across Nigeria, providing them with the tools and resources to build thriving ecosystems.

For the first time, iHatch will directly support 37 hubs—one in each state and the FCT—to act as regional centres for innovation. This programme will empower hubs to:

  • Build robust incubation systems to support startups locally.
  • Develop strong regional ecosystems through partnerships and engagement.
  • Enhance their operational and mentorship capacity.
  • Access international exchange programmes to learn global best practices.

Programme Benefits

  • Tailored training in hub management and startup support
  • Evidence-based frameworks for ecosystem building
  • Access to a national network of innovation leaders
  • Ongoing mentorship and resource support
