The International Organization for Migration is inviting applications under its initiative, Accelerating Youth-Led Action in Addressing Climate Mobility in Africa. The programme supports youth-led civil society organisations implementing community-based solutions that respond to the growing impacts of climate change on migration, displacement, and human mobility across African communities.
The initiative recognises young people as key actors in developing innovative, locally driven responses to climate-induced mobility challenges and aims to strengthen youth leadership in climate action, migration governance, and community resilience.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be youth-led civil society organisations based in Africa.
- Leadership must be primarily made up of young people aged 18–35.
- Organisations must be legally registered in their country of operation.
- Applicants must demonstrate experience in climate change, environment, migration, displacement, or social action.
- A clear and relevant project concept addressing climate mobility challenges is required.
- Applicants must meet all eligibility and selection criteria set by IOM.
