Lafarge Africa Plc’s Technical Skills Development Program (TSDP) 2026 is a tuition-free, industrial training initiative for young Nigerians holding an Ordinary National Diploma (OND). Over 18 months, participants receive hands-on training in key technical fields and earn a monthly stipend plus a recognised certificate upon completion, boosting employability or readiness for self-employment.

Program Highlights 

💰 Monthly Stipend

Trainees earn a financial allowance throughout the 18-month programme to help cover basic expenses while they train.

🛠 Full Technical Training

Training combines classroom theory with practical, hands-on experience in vocational and industrial settings.

📜 Certification

On successful completion, graduates receive a Lafarge Internal Certificate, which enhances credibility with employers and in technical industries.

🏭 Industry Exposure

Practical training takes place at Lafarge operational sites, offering real-world context and exposure to industrial workflows.

Who Can Apply (Eligibility)

To join TSDP 2026, you must:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen.
  • Hold an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from a recognised institution.
  • Have a minimum of five O’Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (additional subject allowed; max two sittings).

This programme is ideal if you seek industry-aligned skills, want a pathway into technical careers, or aim to establish yourself as a skilled tradesperson.


Training Areas & Structure

TSDP offers specialised training tracks in:

🔧 Maintenance Processes

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Instrumentation and Automation
  • Welding and Fabrication Technology

⚙️ Cement Manufacturing Processes

  • Production Operations
  • Process Control
  • Quality Assurance

The training combines intensive classroom instruction with hands-on sessions at facilities to equip you with practical competencies widely demanded in manufacturing and construction sectors.

Where Training Happens

The programme operates at three Lafarge sites across Nigeria:

  • Ewekoro, Ogun State
  • Mfamosing, Cross River State
  • Ashaka, Gombe State

These locations host trainees for in-field learning and mentorship under experienced industrial professionals.

📅 Application Deadline: 9 January 2026 — Make sure your submission is complete by this date.
📅 Duration: 18 months of structured learning and practical exposure.
