Call For Applications: Mary Babatola Bifarin Grant 2024 for Nigerians (N500,000 grant)

The MBB grant by Olatomiwa Bifarin, honors the memory of his late grandmother, Mary Babatola Bifarin [1927-2010], a dedicated maternity nurse that hailed from Nigeria. This personal grantmaking endeavor is an experiment to foster innovative thinking amongst young people in Nigeria and to foster foresight and responsibility by taking on challenging problems in the society.

This grant aims to cultivate innovative thinking among young people in Nigeria, encouraging them to address (complex) societal issues/problems proactively and with a sense of responsibility. Personal grants will also be considered. This year’s theme is open ended.

Grant

  • MBB will give at least N500,000 grant to at least two teams/individuals in Nigeria to do something impactful.

Eligibility

  • Open to young people in Nigeria;
  • Preference will go to the applicants who are 35 years old or younger;
  • Academic qualifications are not required. However, if you do have relevant academic qualifications for your project, be sure to state that in your application.

Application Process

This application process consists of two steps. You are currently completing the first step with this form. Applicants who are selected will be invited to submit a more detailed application and/or attend an interview. It is advised to apply early since preference may be given to early submissions.
