Call For Applications: NCAIR/Google Artificial Intelligence (AI) Fund 2024 (Up to N10 Million Funding)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming industries worldwide, driving innovation, efficiency, and new business models. To unlock the full potential of AI in Nigeria, NCAIR in collaboration with Google is launching the AI Fund, a dedicated initiative to inspire and nurture the next generation of AI-powered startups in Nigeria.

Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa with a thriving technology ecosystem and a youthful, tech-savvy population. They have a rich pool of talent and a growing number of tech entrepreneurs who are creating solutions tailored to the unique challenges of the African continent. However, despite this potential, Nigerian startups often face funding constraints and lack the necessary resources to scale their solutions.

By fostering the development of Artificial Intelligence in Nigeria, NCAIR and Google aim to:

  • Address local challenges with AI solutions.
  • Drive job creation and economic growth.
  • Establish Nigeria as a competitor in the African and Global AI landscape.

Eligibility

Company:

  • Headquartered in Nigeria.
  • Building solutions for the Nigerian market and potentially the African/global market.
  • Demonstrated market fit and significant growth potential.

Founders:

  • At least one Nigerian founder.
  • Relevant experience and a strong team positioned for success.

Tech:

  • Core AI technology company with a live product in the market.
  • Compatibility with Google products and potential to leverage them for growth.

Benefits

Startups receive:

  • Financial Support: Grant funding of up to ₦10 million per startup.
  • Technical Expertise: Access to Google AI tools, resources, and mentorship from Google engineers.
  • Network & Visibility: Connection to Google’s vast network and opportunities for global exposure.
