This competition allows enthusiastic data users to showcase their creativity and analytical skills by using data and other resources on the ReSAKSS website and related digital platforms to develop innovative knowledge products or projects that address Africa’s development challenges.
Prizes will be awarded to the best entries in the following categories:
Category 1 – Essays and Reports: The most innovative research paper, article, essay, or journal article bringing solutions to African issues.
Category 2 – Visual Arts: The most innovative infographic, illustration, video
Category 3 – IT products and services: The most innovative applications and tools
Category 4 – High School Projects: The most innovative high school project
Eligibility
Open to all Africans within the continent and in the diaspora.
All individuals under the age of 13 must have a parent or legal guardian submit the application on their behalf. All participants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to enter this challenge. The challenge organizers reserve the rights to verify an individual’s eligibility to participate in the challenge.
Prize
Winners across the different categories will receive $1,500.
Some categories may have second and third place winners.
