TechGirls 2026 is now open for applications, offering young women an extraordinary opportunity to kick-start their careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The fully funded U.S.-based summer exchange program is designed to empower the next generation of female leaders by equipping them with hands-on technical training, mentorship, global exposure, and a powerful support network.

Since its inception, TechGirls has strengthened the STEM talent pipeline by supporting motivated girls between the ages of 15 and 17 from the United States and select countries worldwide. For African applicants, this program presents a transformative experience that expands skills, confidence, and long-term career opportunities.

What the TechGirls Program Offers (Fully Funded Benefits)

Participants selected for TechGirls receive a comprehensive, fully sponsored package that includes:

 Hands-On STEM Training

Intensive workshops, labs, and practical training delivered by top U.S. universities and STEM institutions.

 Leadership Development

Mentorship from leading STEM professionals, career guidance sessions, and executive-style leadership training.

 Cultural Exchange & International Networking

Participants connect with peers from over 35 countries, building lifelong friendships and global networks.

Community Project Support

Each TechGirl receives resources and guidance to implement a STEM-based community project upon returning home.

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)

To be eligible for TechGirls 2026, applicants must:

  • Be female and between 15 and 17 years old at the time of application
  • Demonstrate strong interest and aptitude in STEM
  • Show leadership potential and community engagement
  • Possess a desire to pursue higher education/careers in STEM fields
  • Be proficient in English
  • Be available for all program dates
  • Reside in one of the eligible participating countries
