The World Bank Legal Internship Program empowers individuals to infuse fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and the latest research experiences into the daily workings of the World Bank while enhancing their legal skills within a multicultural environment.
The World Bank Legal Internship Program aims to offer participants hands-on exposure to the World Bank’s day-to-day activities by closely collaborating with Legal Vice Presidency staff. As integral members of the World Bank team, interns will have the opportunity to contribute to the legal services provided by the Legal Vice Presidency and engage in significant events and conferences organized during their internship tenure.
Duties
Internship duties encompass a diverse range of legal assignments under the guidance of supervising lawyers, including:
- Researching assigned issues using various sources
- Analyzing information, and presenting findings
- Undertaking comparative legal analyses
- Identifying legal and policy issues, researching relevant precedents, and proposing viable solutions.
- Participate in task/project teams
- Assist in conference and meeting organization
Eligibility
- Enrollment in an LLB, JD, LLM, SJD, PhD, or equivalent legal academic program during the internship period.
- Proficiency in the English language is also essential.
