Call For Applications: Yiri Innovation Center’s “Accelerate” Program
Share

The Africa Global Logistics (AGL) has launched its call for projects for the Yiri Innovation Center’s “Accelerate” Program in Abidjan.

As a major player in logistics, AGL is committed to staying at the forefront of technological innovation. It is in this spirit that they have created Yiri, their Innovation Center located in Abidjan. This center aims to stimulate innovation among AGL employees, customers and universities, while supporting the development of start-ups in Africa. Yiri’s mission is to:

  • Fostering creativity
  • Stimulating innovation
  • Contribute to the economic development of the continent
  • Supporting entrepreneurship
  • Promoting the adoption of new technologies
  • Promoting digital careers in Africa

They encourage creativity and the exploration of new ideas to contribute to the economic and technological development of the continent. Yiri is not just a physical space, it is an accelerator of progress and a catalyst for transformation for Africa.

Objectives

  • “Accelerate” is Yiri’s open innovation program dedicated to startups developing technological solutions in the group’s key or related sectors (logistics, transport, digital, etc.). The program aims to accelerate the growth of your startup through expert coaching, training and events in an innovation hub in the heart of Abidjan.
  • The objective of this program is to support startups in the seed or growth phase and to promote partnerships with the AGL Group, through support adapted to their needs.
  • “Accelerate” is aimed at startups that have already built their offer, established their identity and business model, and possibly have a first customer base. The call for applications is open to the logistics, maritime, rail and port industries as a priority, but projects from emerging sectors such as HR tech, cybersecurity, fintech, edtech, mobitech, greentech, legathech and digital services are also accepted.
  • At the end of the acceleration process and depending on the opportunities offered by the AGL network, strategic partnerships with the group may be concluded, and access to the ecosystem of potential partners and investors in Africa or abroad will be guaranteed.

Benefit

  • Successful applicants will benefit from an initial diagnosis, two sprints of three months each, and a mid-term pitch day to assess progress.

Who can participate?

  • You are an African resident and/or you are targeting Africa
  • You are available during the 6 months of the program
  • You are not part of a parallel program
  • You already have an offer or product and are in the growth or expansion phase.
  • Your offer or product is innovative and enables the digitalization or transformation of the AGL Group’s activities.

Deadline: 26 July 2024
