CBN Launches Redesigned Website with Enhanced Features

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced the launch of its newly redesigned website, which will go live on Monday, December 2, 2024. The bank made this announcement in a circular signed by its Acting Director of Corporate Communications, Hakama Ali, on Friday, emphasizing the platform’s aim to provide an improved user experience.

Key Features of the Redesigned Website

The revamped platform introduces several updates:

  1. Comprehensive Content: The website will feature a broader range of information about the CBN’s operations, mandate, and initiatives.
  2. Mobile-Responsive Design: Optimized for seamless navigation across various devices and web browsers, ensuring accessibility for all users.
  3. Enhanced Communication: The CBN emphasized its commitment to using the platform to foster transparency and effective communication with stakeholders.

Public Feedback and Commitment to Improvement

The redesign process was influenced by public feedback, which the bank acknowledged as instrumental in shaping the new platform.

“We are committed to developing and enhancing the website to facilitate communication,” the circular stated.

Governor’s Statement on Transparency

In October, CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso disclosed that the bank was in the final stages of the redesign, aiming to improve transparency and accountability. This aligns with the bank’s broader goals of fostering trust and engagement with the public.

The new website, accessible at www.cbn.gov.ng, marks a significant step in modernizing the bank’s digital presence to better serve its stakeholders.
