CDCFIB Advises Candidates to Log In Early Ahead of AI-Proctored CBT
Share

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has advised candidates shortlisted for its online Computer-Based Test (CBT) to log in 30 minutes before their scheduled exam time. The Secretary announced to the Board, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril, on Wednesday in Abuja.

The online CBT phase of the recruitment exercise, which covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Correction Service (NCoS), began on Wednesday and will continue daily from 9:00 a.m. through next week. Only candidates officially scheduled for the exam will be able to access the portal, which opens 30 minutes before their designated time slot.

Candidates are instructed to log in via the board’s portal at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, complete the photo verification process, and wait in the virtual waiting room until the exam begins automatically.

Maj.-Gen. Jibril emphasized the importance of adhering to examination rules, noting that the system is designed to detect malpractice, third-party interference, and device manipulation.

The CBT will be AI-proctored throughout, requiring candidates to use a stable internet connection, reliable power supply, and a suitable device, preferably a laptop.

While mobile phones and tablets are allowed, activities such as receiving calls or switching applications will trigger violation alerts, and repeated breaches will result in automatic disqualification. Candidates who are disconnected during the exam can rejoin within the allotted time and continue from where they left off.
