Chapel Hill Denham has opened applications for Creative Catalyst 2, its funding and business development initiative aimed at supporting entrepreneurs across Nigeria’s creative economy.
The firm announced that the application portal will remain open until Tuesday, March 3, 2026, inviting submissions from creatives operating across the full spectrum of the sector, including film, music, fashion, visual arts, media, and related creative enterprises.
Speaking on the call for applications, the Chief Executive Officer of Chapel Hill Denham, Bolaji Balogun, said Nigeria’s creative industry holds immense potential for economic growth, job creation, and cultural preservation, stressing the need for stronger domestic capital support.
“Nigeria has exceptional talent across the creative sector, which continues to create opportunities for young Nigerians and Africans. It is essential that domestic capital supports this sector, which tells our stories, preserves our history, and propagates our culture. Creative Catalyst is designed to provide funding to artists and creative entrepreneurs with excellent or winning ideas,” Balogun said.
Creative Catalyst is a Chapel Hill Denham initiative designed to provide both capital and structured business development support to founders building sustainable creative ventures. Beyond funding, the programme focuses on helping creatives strengthen their commercial models, improve governance, and scale viable ideas into profitable businesses.
Since its launch, Creative Catalyst has backed a growing portfolio of creative projects and enterprises. One of its notable investments includes the 2025 feature film : Gingerrr, underscoring the platform’s commitment to supporting ideas that combine artistic excellence with strong commercial potential.
The firm noted that Creative Catalyst 2 builds on the successes of the first phase, deepening its support for creatives seeking long-term growth rather than one-off funding. Applicants are expected to present ideas that demonstrate innovation, scalability, and a clear pathway to financial sustainability.
With Nigeria’s creative economy increasingly recognised as a major contributor to employment and economic diversification, the initiative positions domestic capital as a critical driver of growth within the sector.
Chapel Hill Denham encouraged interested creatives and entrepreneurs to apply early through the official Creative Catalyst portal before the March 3, 2026 deadline.
