CMD Trains Small Businesses on Digital Marketing to Enhance Marketing Strategies
Share

Dr. Modinat Olusoji, Acting Director General of the Centre for Management Development (CMD), has advised small business operators to develop effective marketing strategies to reach their target audience. This advice was given during CMD’s free seminar, “Effective Marketing Strategies for Small Businesses,” held in last week.

Key Insights from the Seminar

Dr. Olusoji emphasized the importance of robust marketing strategies for business success: “Effective marketing strategies are critical for businesses to reach their target audience, build brand awareness, and drive sales. However, with rapid technological advancement and changing consumer behavior, marketing has become more challenging.”

Mrs. Olanike Adeyemo, Director of Entrepreneurship and Business Development, highlighted the necessity for small businesses to stay current with marketing trends: “With the rise of social media and mobile devices, consumers are more connected and informed than ever. This has created new opportunities for businesses to reach their target audience through channels such as influencer marketing, content marketing, and social media advertising.”

Mr. Akin Sobola, CEO of Canannvile Digital Solution, underscored the importance of understanding the competitive marketplace. “Marketing is about identifying key trends, understanding what people or businesses want, developing products that meet these needs at the right price, and promoting the products in the right place and at the right time,” he said.

The seminar provided valuable insights for small business operators, emphasizing the importance of adapting to new marketing strategies to remain competitive in today’s digital age.
