Coca-Cola HBC Commits €5 million to Community Impact
Share

Coca-Cola HBC has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting communities across its markets with a fresh €5 million funding pledge to The Coca-Cola HBC Foundation, building on the €4.3 million already approved for community initiatives over the 2024–2025 period. The announcement comes as the company prepares to mark its 75th anniversary, reinforcing its long-standing focus on social responsibility and community development.

The company said the renewed funding highlights a sustained effort to deepen its social impact by investing in programmes that strengthen communities and support inclusive growth. Through the Foundation, Coca-Cola HBC channels financial resources, technical expertise and advisory support to nonprofit organisations, with a focus on interventions that deliver measurable social, economic and environmental outcomes.

Launched in 2023, The Coca-Cola HBC Foundation operates as the company’s main philanthropic platform, designed to respond quickly to urgent needs while supporting long-term development. Its funding priorities include community resilience and disaster response, sustainable access to safe water, youth economic empowerment and initiatives that promote a circular economy. These focus areas are intended to ensure that projects align with broader development goals and deliver lasting value at community level.

Over the past two years, the Foundation has deployed more than €4.3 million across these priority areas, addressing challenges ranging from emergency relief to programmes aimed at improving skills, livelihoods and employability among young people. By working with local partners and trusted organisations, the company says it has been able to direct support to communities where it is most needed, while ensuring accountability and measurable results.

According to the company, the additional €5 million earmarked for 2026 will allow the Foundation to strengthen existing programmes and roll out new initiatives aligned with its strategic priorities. The funding is expected to expand the reach of ongoing projects and support new partnerships that can deliver sustainable outcomes, particularly in areas linked to economic participation and environmental resilience.

Coca-Cola HBC noted that partnerships remain central to the Foundation’s approach, with collaboration across civil society, public institutions and community stakeholders helping to scale impact and improve effectiveness. The company also stressed that all grants are managed under strict oversight and monitoring frameworks to ensure transparency, efficient use of funds and alignment with ethical business practices.

As the Foundation looks ahead to 2026, the renewed funding is positioned to support vulnerable populations, respond to emerging social and environmental challenges and reinforce the company’s wider sustainability agenda. By combining immediate relief with long-term development efforts, Coca-Cola HBC said it aims to strengthen the social and economic foundations of the communities in which it operates.

With the latest pledge, the company reiterated its view that business growth and community development are closely linked, and that sustained investment in people, skills and resilience is essential for long-term prosperity across its markets.
