Colgate Nigeria solidifies its commitment to advancing oral healthcare in Nigeria by supporting the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) with a significant annual grant of one million naira for five years. This momentous collaboration focuses on preventive oral care, highlighted at the recent IADR conference themed “Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry.”

During the conference, Colgate unveiled “MyToothDoc,” an innovative AI Chatbot on WhatsApp endorsed by the Nigerian Dental Association. This groundbreaking tool offers free oral health checks and tailored treatment recommendations, garnering an 85% positive user response, with users favoring Colgate as their toothpaste choice.

Dr. Francis Omotayo Fagbule of UCH Ibadan received a grand one million naira award from Colgate for his pioneering research on preventing oral health problems among children in orphanages in Ibadan.

Deksha Gupta, Brand Manager at Colgate Nigeria, emphasized the company’s commitment to improving oral health and ensuring a brighter future for everyone. Professor Omolara Uti, President of IADR in Nigeria, lauded the partnership, noting Colgate’s aligned values and genuine dedication to advancing dental research and healthcare standards in Nigeria. The five-year grant stands as a testament to Colgate’s unwavering support for dental research and oral health improvement.
