Construction Resumes on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway as Travellers Fear Gridlock
Share

Commuters express concerns as construction resumes around the Long Bridge section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, fearing a return of gridlock.

Observations reveal construction workers and machines active on the road, prompting worries among travelers.

Commercial drivers and passengers anticipate potential gridlock, citing the ongoing road division and construction activities.

While some Daily Travellers express worries about a possible repeat of last year’s gridlock, others emphasize the necessity of completing the road despite inconveniences.

The Ogun State Sector Command of the FRSC confirms the resumption of construction and deploys traffic officers to manage traffic on the expressway.

Authorities clarify that the construction aims to reinstall expansion joints on the Long Bridge, necessitating traffic management measures for the safety of commuters.
