Dangote Industries Limited has announced its partnership with the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) for the 2025 Abuja International Trade Fair, reaffirming its commitment to supporting small businesses, industrial growth, and economic sustainability in Nigeria.
The fair, billed to open on September 25, 2025, will run for 12 days in the nation’s capital, bringing together over 100,000 participants, including government agencies, multinational corporations, SMEs, diplomatic missions, and development partners.
In a statement, Dangote Industries described the partnership as a strategic collaboration aimed at deepening trade, attracting investments, and expanding opportunities for entrepreneurs.
“Dangote Group is proud to announce its partnership with the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This collaboration presents a valuable opportunity to engage stakeholders, promote intra-African trade, and empower SMEs,” the statement read.
Themed “Sustainability: Consumption, Incentives, and Taxation,” the 20th edition of the fair will spotlight eco-friendly practices, green technologies, and policies that can strengthen value chains while improving livelihoods.
Senior Adviser to the President of Dangote Group, Fatima Wali-Abdurrahman, said the conglomerate will showcase a wide range of its products and services, including cement, sugar, salt, fertilizer, packaging materials, automobiles, trucks, and petroleum products.
“Nearly all our business units will be participating in this fair. Dangote remains a market leader in Africa, but we are committed to continuous innovation, local sourcing, and growth,” she said, while welcoming ACCI’s “Buy Africa, Build Africa” initiative as a timely move to strengthen regional trade and support SMEs.
Speaking on preparations, ACCI President, Chief Emeka Obegolu (SAN), said the fair will provide a platform for businesses of all sizes to showcase their products, connect with investors, and access new markets.
“Our collaboration with Dangote reflects our determination to drive economic growth, strengthen business linkages, and create opportunities for communities. This fair will particularly empower small and medium enterprises to scale their operations,” he stated.
ACCI’s Director-General, Dr. Agabaidu Jideani, added that the fair is not just a marketplace but also a platform for promoting innovation and sustainability. According to him, exhibitors and investors stand to gain from networking, brand visibility, and exposure to green opportunities.
With Dangote’s backing and ACCI’s vision, the 2025 Abuja International Trade Fair is expected to serve as a hub for commerce, innovation, and SME empowerment helping shape Nigeria’s economic future.
