Dangote Cement Plc has rewarded its top distributors and customers with ₦15 billion worth of prizes, celebrating their loyalty, resilience, and exceptional performance. The 2026 Distributors’ Awards Night, held at Eko Convention Centre in Lagos under the theme “Partner for Growth,” saw recipients receive a range of gifts, including cash prizes, cement containers, high-end SUVs, and CNG-powered trucks.
Speaking at the event, Aliko Dangote, President/CEO of Dangote Industries Limited, described distributors as the heartbeat of the organisation, praising their dedication in ensuring Dangote products reach communities across Nigeria. “Your tireless work, commitment to our products, and direct engagement with customers turn our vision into tangible results. Today’s celebration marks the start of our growth journey for 2026,” he said.
Dangote also highlighted the company’s Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to transform Dangote Group into a $100 billion enterprise. The plan focuses on industrial expansion, cross-border investments, and boosting Africa’s self-sufficiency in sectors such as energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure. He revealed that Dangote Cement is targeting a production capacity of approximately 90 million tonnes by 2030, exceeding half of Saudi Arabia’s current output.
The CEO also noted expansions in the petroleum refinery, fertiliser plant, and polypropylene production, stressing that the company’s goal extends beyond factories to empowering Africa’s economy, education, and industrialisation. As part of this vision, the Aliko Dangote Foundation launched a ₦1 trillion education fund in December 2025, supporting over 1.3 million vulnerable Nigerian students with scholarships, STEM and TVET initiatives, and girls’ education.
Emmanuel Ikazoboh, Chairman of Dangote Cement’s Board of Directors, in his first official attendance, praised distributor partnerships for ensuring nationwide product reach. He announced that ₦9 billion in cash prizes were being awarded to distributors, along with trucks, high-end vehicles, and other rewards. He emphasised the company’s investment in CNG-powered trucks, which support both logistics efficiency and sustainability, with plans to fully transition its fleet by 2027.
Ikazoboh also revealed plans for a greenfield two-line, 6 million metric tonnes per annum cement plant in Itori, Ogun State, focused on exports, and expansions at the grinding plant in Côte d’Ivoire, signalling Dangote Cement’s commitment to pan-African growth.
“Your perseverance, trust, and loyalty help maintain product visibility nationwide. We are genuinely committed to seeing your businesses grow bigger, stronger, and more profitable,” he said, underscoring the central role distributors play in the company’s success.
