Dangote Petroleum Refinery has kicked off free petrol delivery directly to filling stations in several states across Nigeria, a move expected to help reduce pump prices for consumers.
According to the refinery, major marketers including Conoil Plc, Eterna Plc, Golden Super, Nepal Energies, Kifayat Global Energy, and Riquest and Gas have already signed up for the initiative.
The first phase will cover Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti, Abuja, Kwara, Delta, Rivers, and Edo, with plans to expand to more states in the coming weeks. Filling station owners who want to benefit from the scheme can register through +234 707 470 2099 or email Sales.enquiry@dangote.com.
This announcement comes shortly after billionaire businessman Femi Otedola challenged oil marketers to invest in local refineries such as Port Harcourt instead of resisting Dangote’s dominance in the downstream sector.
Industry analysts say the move could provide much-needed relief for Nigerians grappling with high fuel costs, while also reshaping the country’s petroleum supply chain.
