The DHL GoTrade GBSN Fellowship Program is now open for applications for the 2026 cohort, offering a powerful bridge between postgraduate business students and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in emerging markets. Through an eight-month experiential learning journey, the programme equips future business leaders while supporting SMEs to expand into global markets.
Developed by the Global Business School Network (GBSN) in partnership with DHL, this initiative provides real consulting and advisory experience, giving SMEs access to international trade expertise and students a platform for practical learning, mentorship and global impact.
Why It Matters for SMEs in Africa
Many African SMEs struggle to navigate international markets. Through this fellowship, selected enterprises receive strategic guidance from highly skilled business students, enabling them to explore export opportunities, improve competitiveness and integrate into global value chains.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a graduate student (MBA, MSc, Master’s or PhD).
- Must be enrolled at a participating GBSN member school at the start of the fellowship.
- Commitment to an 8-month programme beginning March 2025.
- Ability to commit 12 to 15 hours per month.
- Proficiency in English (Spanish or Portuguese required for Latin American SME placements).
- Proven work experience and strong analytical skills.
- Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset with interest in international collaboration.
