Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Indomie noodles, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s education sector through teacher development, with the successful hosting of the 16th Annual Teachers’ Seminar in Lagos.

The seminar, themed “Innovative Education: Integrating 21st-Century Skills as Learning Experiences into the Curriculum,” brought together thousands of educators at the University of Lagos, providing them with practical, innovation-driven teaching tools needed for improved classroom impact.

The one-day programme featured hands-on sessions designed to equip teachers with modern learning competencies such as communication, creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and the use of digital tools  skills that have become critical for shaping future-ready students in a fast-evolving educational system.

Delivering the keynote address, Prof. Sunday Adeyemo, Professor of Science Education and Curriculum Studies at UNILAG, urged teachers to embrace teaching innovations that reflect new realities.

“Teaching has evolved, and our teachers must evolve with it. To achieve genuine progress in our education system, educators must adopt modern skills and digital tools that improve learning outcomes,” he said.

The seminar also created a platform for teachers to exchange ideas, share experiences, and address emerging challenges in the sector. Participants, dressed in Indomie-branded shirts and caps, enjoyed interactive activities, cultural displays, games, and meals.

Speaking on Dufil’s commitment, Group Corporate Communications and Events Manager, Mr. Temitope Ashiwaju, noted that empowering educators remains a priority for the company.

“Teachers are custodians of knowledge and must be empowered to remain globally competitive. Our CSR is not only about feeding children it includes investing in those who build Nigeria’s human capital foundation,” he said.
