Nigerian startup Egoras has unveiled Egomart, a marketplace designed to help businesses reach over 100,000 active customers already engaged with the platform. The initiative aims to expand Egoras’ offerings by creating a space where merchants can list and sell a wide variety of products and services.
Egomart offers businesses a ready-made market for goods such as electronics, generators, and hospitality services like hotels and restaurants. CEO Ugoji Harry, speaking in Lagos, emphasized the platform’s innovative approach. “We’re now offering products from other merchants to our users. When users purchase these products, they receive cashback from the commission businesses pay us,” Harry explained.
The platform is open to merchants across various sectors, including restaurants, hotels, labour services, and more. Harry highlighted Egomart’s versatility, stating, “Any product or service that can be sold is welcome, as long as there’s a store to facilitate it.”
Egomart’s unique cashback system is designed to benefit both customers and merchants, fostering growth for businesses while rewarding loyal buyers. With its established customer base, Egomart is poised to drive SME growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
