Experts Proffer Solutions to Business Challenges at MSME Africa’s Business Growth Series

The September 2024 edition of MSME Africa’s Business Growth Series (BGS) successfully brought together entrepreneurs, business leaders, and industry experts to tackle pressing business challenges and explore growth opportunities, particularly building resilience and grit in challenging economic situations. The event took place on September 25, 2024 at the ICAN-BOI Hub, Yaba Lagos.

The highly engaging event started with interactive games and networking activities, setting the tone for a dynamic day of learning and connection. Renowned speakers such as Dr Remi Olukoya, CEO, of Pecksgrey Group, and Mrs Odunayo Adams Oyebolu, CEO, of Everything Fashion, and the Founder of MSME Africa, Mr Seye Olurotimi shared insightful presentations on innovative strategies, industry trends, and best practices for building resilience and grit in challenging economy, covering topics such as:

– Leveraging technology for business expansion

– Exploring business growth models and resources

“Get a mentor in business! Not someone necessarily popular but someone who has traveled the road you’re currently on, and is willing to hold your hand as you navigate through it so that you won’t repeat the same mistakes”. – Mr Seye Olurotimi.

“Weigh your options before making decisions!

Learn to cut costs, you don’t have to copy everyone!. Don’t do business with pity! Charge what you’re worth!. If something is no longer working, drop it and move to the next. Don’t be rigid, Try new methods!” – Mrs Odunayo Adams Oyebolu.

Some thought provoking questions from our last speaker; “What do you do for your business to move forward? Do you engage in short term investments when you make profits? Does your business come top in the mind of your potential customers?” – Dr Remi Olukoya
