FATE Foundation will on Friday, September 26, host the 10th edition of its annual business conference at the Balmoral Convention Center in Lagos, focusing on the theme “The AI Powered Business.” The gathering aims to equip entrepreneurs with the tools and insights needed to harness Artificial Intelligence (AI) for business growth, innovation, and sustainability.

The conference is structured as a comprehensive platform featuring keynote speeches, panel discussions, exhibitions, and networking sessions. A highlight is the pitch competition where entrepreneurs will showcase AI-driven business ideas for the chance to win grants of up to ₦1 million. With a participation fee of ₦50,000, the event is positioned to be accessible to small and medium-sized businesses keen on embracing technology for competitive advantage.

President of FATE Alumni, Toyin Bakare, said the conference offers alumni a timely opportunity to display their innovative solutions. “The AI Powered Business conference is a platform for showcasing creativity and driving meaningful impact. We believe it will open doors for growth while strengthening the entrepreneurial community,” she stated.

Chairman of the Technical Committee, Dipo Davies, underscored the urgency of embracing AI, noting that industries are being rapidly transformed worldwide. He explained that the conference would serve as a space for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and empowerment, helping Nigerian entrepreneurs position themselves for the future.

The speaker lineup includes some of the country’s most respected voices in business and innovation, such as Kofo Akinkugbe, Founder of SecureID Group; Adedeji Olowe, Founder of Lendsqr; and Olatunbosun Alake, Lagos State Commissioner for Innovation, Science & Technology. Others are Matthew Wallace, Prof. Peter Adewale Obadare, Bode Abifarin, Feyisayo Alayande, and Yomi Akinyemi.

Executive Director of FATE Foundation, Adenike Adeyemi, said the event will empower more than 1,000 entrepreneurs with the skills and networks they need to scale their businesses. “We are committed to building a dynamic ecosystem that supports entrepreneurship and strengthens economic development. This conference is another step toward equipping business owners for long-term success in an AI-powered world,” she said.

Organisers added that the 10th edition is not only a milestone for FATE Foundation but also a renewed drive to empower entrepreneurs across Nigeria and beyond with cutting-edge knowledge and practical opportunities.
