The Federal Government, through the Bank of Agriculture, has opened applications for the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanisation Programme (RHAMP), an initiative designed to strengthen Nigeria’s food security by empowering a new generation of mechanisation service providers.
Implemented in collaboration with Heifer Nigeria, RHAMP places special emphasis on women, youth, and mechanisation companies looking to scale their operations. The application process is free and ongoing, according to a post by the Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun. Interested applicants are required to submit their forms via the official website, https://boanig.com, before the deadline of November 10, 2025.
The programme provides access to affordable tractors and implements, backed by a comprehensive three-year servicing plan at designated service centres or mobile hubs. Beneficiaries will enjoy flexible repayment options tied to usage and income generation, as well as technical support and digital monitoring enabled by IoT technology.
Women and youth agripreneurs aged 18 to 35, along with mechanisation companies seeking to expand their fleet, are eligible to apply. RHAMP’s competitive terms include lease options spanning three to five years, a 15 per cent interest rate, a 25 per cent down payment, and special conditions tailored for women and youth participants.
The initiative represents a major step in modernising Nigeria’s agricultural systems, improving productivity, and boosting rural livelihoods.
Earlier in June, President Tinubu launched the first phase of RHAMP, which included the distribution of 2,000 tractors and thousands of farming implements nationwide. During the unveiling, he reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a sustainable agricultural future, stating, “Today, we take a monumental leap forward with the introduction of state-of-the-art tractors through our new agricultural mechanisation programme. We are very proud of what we are doing.”
The initial rollout also features 50 industrial-grade land preparation bulldozers, 12 fully equipped mobile workshops, and more than 8,000 specialized farming implements aimed at driving large-scale mechanized farming across the country.
