Fembol Group Empowers Student Entrepreneurs with ₦3 Million in Grants
Share

Fembol Group has successfully concluded its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, the Fembol Student Grant Pitch Day, aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs through funding, mentorship, and business exposure.

The programme drew over 500 applications from students across various tertiary institutions. After an initial screening, shortlisted participants attended a one-day entrepreneurship bootcamp designed to sharpen their business ideas, refine models, and enhance pitching skills.

From this cohort, 10 student entrepreneurs emerged as finalists, each receiving ₦200,000 to further develop their solutions ahead of the grand finale. The finalists presented innovative projects spanning wellness, energy, and sustainability, evaluated by industry professionals on innovation, feasibility, scalability, and execution.

Following the final presentations, three winners were awarded grants totaling more than ₦3 million. The top prize of approximately ₦1.5 million went to Pemnia Wellness, led by Opeyemi Adebisi, which focuses on promoting holistic health through accessible and sustainable wellness solutions. The first runner-up, Versatile Energy by Nura Idris, received around ₦1 million for its innovative energy solutions that enhance efficiency and sustainability. The second runner-up, Save Extra Ecopads, founded by Joy Mamkwe, was awarded approximately ₦500,000 for providing eco-friendly and affordable menstrual health products.

A Fembol Group representative emphasized the company’s commitment to youth entrepreneurship, stating, “At Fembol, we believe that empowering young people with viable ideas is critical to building sustainable businesses and a resilient economy. The Student Grant is our way of supporting the next generation of founders.”

Beyond financial support, participants benefited from mentorship, judge feedback, and networking opportunities, equipping them with tools to scale their ventures for long-term growth.

The Fembol Student Grant Pitch Day highlights the company’s dedication to fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic empowerment, particularly among Nigeria’s emerging MSME founders.
