In a bold move to accelerate the digital transformation of Nigeria’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Fidelity Bank Plc has announced the launch of its Fidelity SME Empowerment Programme (FSEP). The initiative aims to equip 100 growth-ready entrepreneurs with cutting-edge digital tools that will streamline operations, enhance productivity, and drive sustainable business growth.

This forms part of Fidelity Bank’s broader mission to foster economic inclusivity and build a more resilient SME ecosystem across the country.

What’s in the Digital Toolkit?

Selected entrepreneurs will receive a comprehensive suite of business tools, including:

  • A POS desktop system

  • Access to ERPRev software

  • Receipt printer and barcode scanner

  • Inventory and business management tools

  • Business training and support

  • Free Fidelity-branded POS with onboarding assistance

These tools are designed to help SMEs automate key business processes, improve customer experience, and scale operations more efficiently.

Fidelity Bank Speaks

Speaking on the program, Osita Ede, Divisional Head of Product Development at Fidelity Bank Plc, noted:

“Studies have shown the exponential growth SMEs can achieve through digitalisation. As Nigeria’s leading SME partner, we are walking the talk by providing free digital toolkits to our customers. This aligns with our mission to help individuals grow, businesses thrive, and economies prosper.”

A Track Record of SME Support

The launch of FSEP is part of a series of efforts by Fidelity Bank to champion SME development. In celebration of World SME Day 2025, the bank granted entrepreneurs free access to its SME Hub in Gbagada, Lagos, and hosted a mentoring session for female entrepreneurs, led by its CEO, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe.

Fidelity Bank continues to host regular masterclasses, business clinics, and creative sector support programs, reinforcing its role as Nigeria’s most SME-focused financial institution.

Award-Winning Support

Fidelity Bank’s commitment has earned it numerous accolades, including:

  • Best Bank for SMEs in Nigeria – Euromoney Awards for Excellence

  • Excellence in Digital Transformation and MSME Banking Award – 2024 BusinessDay BAFI Awards
