On May 30, 2025, the Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Youth Development and Chairman of the Kenneth Okanoro Foundation, Comrade Kenneth Okanoro, launched the Sowing Seeds of Hope initiative in Ward 9, Ndokwa East Local Government Area. The launch coincided with the opening of his residence in Onogbokor Community, where he unveiled the program aimed at supporting grassroots communities.
The initiative is in alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative and Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda, reinforcing government efforts to uplift citizens at the local level.
As part of the outreach, Comrade Okanoro distributed food items and cash grants to 1,000 individuals from Ward 9 and neighbouring communities. The gesture brought relief to beneficiaries and highlighted Okanoro’s commitment to community welfare and poverty alleviation.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Jerry Iliromah, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters and a Ward 9 leader, expressed deep appreciation on behalf of the communities and pledged their continued support for Okanoro’s initiatives.
Comrade Okanoro used the occasion to thank Delta State Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme, Chief Godswill Obielum, and Hon. Prince Emeka Osamuta for their backing. He urged residents to continue supporting the leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori and acknowledged the government’s approval of critical infrastructure, including the emergency construction of the Ibrede-Onogbokor road by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), which he said would have a lasting impact on the area.
