Governor Caleb Mutfwang Champions Agricultural Revolution for Economic Growth at World Food Prize Forum

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, has joined global leaders at the World Food Prize Foundation in Des Moines, Iowa, USA, as part of his push to drive economic growth in Plateau State through an agricultural revolution. Serving as Special Guest of Honour, Governor Mutfwang highlighted his administration’s commitment to revitalizing the state’s economy by transforming its agricultural value chain.

In a statement from his press office, Governor Mutfwang unveiled plans for a comprehensive agricultural program aimed at boosting food production, creating jobs, and promoting sustainable economic growth in Plateau State. He reiterated his political will to implement initiatives that would improve the well-being of Plateau citizens, emphasizing the importance of peace, security, and a business-friendly environment to attract both local and international investors.

Notable leaders at the event included Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan, Ambassador Kenneth Quinn, President of the World Food Prize Foundation, Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda, and 2023 Nobel Laureate Heidi Kühn. Their collective commitment underscored a unified effort to enhance agricultural resilience and food security across Africa.
