Concert For Change, organisers of the Green Worship initiative, has disbursed N160 million to support children with special needs and fund charity organisations across Nigeria. The non-profit group announced plans to scale its impact by raising N100 million annually and expanding its beneficiaries from four to ten charities.
Green Worship, which merges worship music with social impact, has become a platform for mobilising support for vulnerable children, including orphans and those living with disabilities. The upcoming Green Worship 8.0 concert is scheduled to take place next week at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, and will feature leading gospel ministers such as Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin Oyekan, Gaise Baba, Anendlessocean, Preye Odede, Rotimi Keys, Kent Egunjobi, Moyosola Olowokure, Gospel Force, Ellie Scotte, Outgun Onkar and Wale Adenuga.
Funds raised from the event will be channelled to five selected charities: Comrade David Ofoeyeno School for Special Children in Warri, Marvelous Foundation Orphans Care Centre in Minna, Super Parents Foundation in Lagos, Hope Orphanage in Akure, and the Learning Disabilities Society of Nigeria in Uyo.
Speaking ahead of the event, Convener Wale Adenuga said the initiative reflects the power of compassion expressed through collective giving. He noted that despite economic challenges, several charities continue to provide vital care, education and support to children often overlooked by society.
Adenuga explained that Green Worship is designed to turn worship into tangible impact, reminding communities that generosity can bring relief and hope. Through Concert For Change, he said, the goal is to inspire individuals and organisations to contribute to causes that transform lives.
