Heirs Insurance Launches N5 Million Grant for Nigerian Retirees and Pre-Retirees, Apply Now!

Heirs Insurance Group has unveiled a ₦5 million grant initiative to help Nigerian retirees and pre-retirees turn their long-held dreams into reality.

Tagged the Heirs Insurance Retirement Dream Competition, the programme invites Nigerians aged 50 to 75, whether already retired or nearing retirement, to share their post-retirement aspirations for a chance to receive financial support.

The competition is open exclusively to individuals who have previously been in paid employment.

Grant Prizes:

₦2.5 million – First Prize

₦1.5 million – First Runner-Up

₦1 million – Second Runner-Up

How to Participate:

Applicants must submit a one-minute video outlining their retirement dream and explaining how the grant would make a meaningful difference. Submissions should be made via the company’s website between August 6 and September 12, 2025.

The competition is part of a broader initiative under the newly launched Heirs Insurance Retirees Club – a community platform designed to keep Nigerian retirees connected, provide expert guidance on health and financial well-being, and enhance overall post-retirement lifestyle.

According to Heirs Insurance Group, both the Retirees Club and the Retirement Dream Competition are aligned with its mission to improve lives and contribute to national development.

“This initiative is about more than just insurance; it’s about empowering Nigerians to live their retirement years with dignity, purpose, and fulfilment,” the company stated.

Winners will be announced in October 2025, with the initiative expected to spark conversations around retirement planning and highlight the potential of older Nigerians to contribute meaningfully to society.

About Heirs Insurance Group:

Heirs Insurance Group, the insurance arm of pan-African conglomerate Heirs Holdings, has rapidly expanded its footprint in Nigeria’s retail insurance space, leveraging both physical and digital channels to improve insurance accessibility and inclusion.
