ImpactHER, Africa’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to empowering female entrepreneurs, has announced plans to provide free training to over 250 female entrepreneurs in Lagos as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations.
In collaboration with the African Union and supported by sponsors such as GIZ and Brave Women, the training will take place at The Zone, Gbagada, and will bring together female entrepreneurs engaged in various business activities. Participants will undergo training on market expansion strategies, digital skills, packaging and export, business bookkeeping, business financing, and other topics aimed at helping them overcome the challenges of running their businesses.
Clementina Uzogor, Director of ImpactHER, emphasized the significance of the training theme, “Inspiring Inclusion: Unlocking Opportunities Using Digital Skills and Market Expansion,” especially during this period. She highlighted the importance of digital skills in enabling SMEs to establish a niche and reach a global customer base. Uzogor expressed confidence in the training’s ability to equip SMEs with the necessary skills for business success and expansion.
This year’s training features a lineup of esteemed speakers and facilitators carefully selected to impact the participating women. Olanrewaju Oniyitan, Founder and CEO of W-Holistics Business Solutions; Florence Okafor, Chief Trade Promotion Officer at the Nigeria Export Promotion Council; Olatunde Shobajo, Youtube Expert at Valor Reviews; and Chidinma Ndukwe, Social Media Manager at Robert Taylor Media, will share their business experience and expertise. The panelists include Adaku Ijara, MD/CEO of Emerging Africa Group; Oluwatoyin Aralepo, Director of Finance at Mastercard Foundation; Dr. Oluseyi Olanrewaju, Chief Financial Officer at Digital Reality; Ayisat Olanrewaju, Founder of Corporately Lucid; and Adesuwa Rhodes Okunbo, Founder of Aruwa Capital.
The training promises to provide valuable insights and practical strategies to empower female entrepreneurs in Lagos and contribute to their success in the digital age.
