The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has asked candidates who missed their rescheduled 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for valid reasons to file a formal complaint through its official support platform.
In a public notice shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, JAMB advised affected candidates to raise a ticket on http://support.jamb.gov.ng, stating clearly why they missed their exam and which centre they would prefer to use for a retake.
The examination body emphasized that the system would help process genuine complaints quickly and enable smooth arrangements for candidates needing another opportunity.
JAMB also launched a Candidate Counselling Emergency Support Centre (CCESC) to assist with urgent concerns, although it clarified that the digital ticketing platform remains the main and most efficient way to reach the board. Candidates were encouraged to continue using the online platform for swift responses, while also being given an alternative via phone. For emergencies, candidates may contact officials via the dedicated hotline: 07002200016.
This move comes shortly after JAMB announced a reconduct of the 2025 UTME for 379,997 candidates affected by technical errors during the original sessions. These errors, caused by omissions in examination content, disrupted activities in 157 centres nationwide.
Lagos was the most heavily impacted, with 206,610 candidates and 65 centres affected. The Owerri zone, which includes parts of the South-East, was also significantly affected, with 173,387 candidates and 92 centres experiencing similar disruptions.
The retake began on Friday, May 16, 2025, with JAMB notifying candidates via SMS, email, direct phone calls, and through updates on their official profiles.
