Johnvents Trading Launches 2nd Annual Input Disbursement to Empower 6,000 Farmers in Northern Nigeria
Share

Johnvents Trading, a member of the Johnvents Group, has announced the commencement of its 2nd Annual Input Disbursement Flag-off program. This initiative aims to promote sustainable agriculture, empower farmers, and prioritize environmental sustainability across Northern Nigeria.

Johnvents Trading Outgrower Scheme: Through this scheme, Johnvents Trading contributes directly to Nigeria’s agricultural output by providing essential resources for the cultivation of in-demand crops such as maize and sorghum.

Reflecting on the 2023 achievements, Dr. Femi Sekoni, Chief Business Officer at Capitalsage Holdings, Johnvents Trading’s parent company, highlighted the significant progress made. “Last year, we empowered 4,000 farmers, creating a positive impact across the agricultural landscape. This year, we are expanding our reach to 6,000 farmers, a 50% increase,” he said.

The program will cover three clusters in Kano, Kaduna, and Katsina, reaching 6,000 farmers.

Johnvents Trading has procured 20,000 units of fertilizers and NPK, which have been delivered to designated warehouses within each cluster to ensure easy access for all participating farmers.

Dr. Sekoni emphasized the company’s commitment to efficient input disbursement, monitoring, and evaluation practices to ensure transparency and maximize the program’s impact.

Partnership and Collaboration:

Alliance Agro: Johnvents Trading expressed gratitude to its partner, Alliance Agro, for their support and shared vision in revolutionizing Nigeria’s agriculture.

Recognition of Farmers: The program acknowledged the resilience, hard work, and dedication of participating farmers, recognizing them as the cornerstone of Nigeria’s food security.
