Kebbi To Disburse N3billion Grants To Farmers
Share

In a significant move to enhance self-reliance, the Kebbi State government is set to disburse N3 billion to seasonal farmers through the Livelihood Support Grant. Governor Nasir Idris, launching the disbursement, emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting farmers in achieving program objectives.

Governor Idris assured transparency in the disbursement process, with independent verification agents from the World Bank and Ministry of Budget overseeing fund distribution. The aim is to ensure all targeted farmers benefit while preventing diversion of funds for unrelated purposes.

As part of this initiative, the government has acquired 10,000 pumping machines at N70,000 each, slated for distribution among farmers. The Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources will be present to inaugurate the distribution, further enhancing agricultural practices in the state.
