Klasha Partners with EasyTransfer to Simplify Tuition Payments for African Students
Share

Klasha, a prominent global cross-border payment company, has partnered with EasyTransfer, a Singapore-based fintech specializing in global education payments, to enhance the collection of tuition fees from international students in various African currencies.

EasyTransfer offers innovative solutions for processing international school fees at transparent and competitive rates. To better serve its African clientele, it sought a payment partner capable of enabling local currency collections and hard currency payouts, such as USD. With this collaboration, EasyTransfer can now offer African international students more affordable payment solutions by facilitating local currency collections while providing hard currency payouts at preferential rates.

Tony Gao, President and Co-Founder of EasyTransfer, emphasized the partnership’s advantages: “Our partnership with Klasha has enabled simpler and faster settlement times, an undeniable advantage for international students from African countries like Nigeria and Kenya, which represent a growing portion of the international education market.”

Guohao Sun, Partner for Global Operations at EasyTransfer, added, “We remain committed to serving international students from various regions in as many currencies as possible and actively seek partnerships that enhance our efficiency.”

EasyTransfer powers tuition payments for international students across more than 170 countries, including numerous African nations. The partnership with Klasha aims to streamline and expedite payment processes for African students, particularly those traveling to institutions in the UK, where interest from Nigerian and Kenyan students continues to surge.

Jess Anuna, Founder and CEO of Klasha, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration: “At Klasha, our mission has always been to bridge the gap for cross-border payments in emerging markets. This partnership with EasyTransfer reflects our commitment to providing international students with accessible and reliable payment options. We’re excited to make tuition payments easier and more affordable for African students studying abroad, empowering the global education sector.”

Justin Fan, Klasha’s Managing Director of Asia Operations, highlighted the strategic significance of this alliance, stating, “As African students continue to pursue educational opportunities in countries like the UK, simplifying their tuition payments is crucial. Our partnership with EasyTransfer ensures that students and their families can focus on education without the stress of complex financial logistics, providing a tailored solution for their specific needs.”
