LEAP Africa Announces Youth Day of Service 2021
Share

LEAP Africa is pleased to announce this year’s edition of the ‘Youth Day of Service’ (YDoS) campaign; an annual week-long youth-led social impact campaign, which will take place on August 12th – 18th, 2021 as a way of commemorating the ‘International Youth Day.’

The week-long activity campaign seeks to foster the spirit of service to community and volunteerism among the youth population in Africa and also inspires them to be active social change agents in society. The campaign theme for this year  is ‘Youthful and Useful’ and it is Pan African.

It’s super easy to be a part of the initiative. Intending paticipants can head on to www.youthdayofservice.org to register your their project, volunteer for an existing project or sponsor a project.

From August 12-18, young people will carry out a series of community projects in different African countries. This is a great opportunity to be part of something bigger, a mission driven campaign either as an individual or an organization.

With less than a decade to reach the global goals, Youth Day of Service presents a unique opportunity to mobilize the energies, creativity and agency of young Africans while collaborating with an ecosystem of like-minded organizations to support and advance efforts towards localising and achieving the SDGs.
