The Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation (LSEF) has announced a new date for the commencement of the training programme for the Imo Wealth Project, a job creation and empowerment initiative.
In order to accommodate the sit-at-home protests anticipated in Imo State and other regions of the South East, especially with Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), scheduled to appear in court in Abuja on Tuesday, the program, which was originally scheduled to begin on June 28, will now begin on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
The Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation, a forward-thinking Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that promotes 21st-century knowledge through superior education, real-world business, healthy living, and improved lifestyle, is the sponsor of the Imo Wealth Project.
The foundation aims to give Imo State people over 10,000 new job opportunities while also providing entrepreneurs and other recipients with relevant information and interest-free financing to help them expand their enterprises and become more competitive on the world stage.
Entrepreneurs, unemployed and underemployed graduates, as well as students in their final year of study at tertiary institutions around Imo State, are some of the initiative’s target demographics. Globally recognized digital firms like Microsoft and Meta (Facebook), among others, are anticipated to certify the participating graduates who complete the curriculum as part of the effort.
As a result, the three-day required on-boarding training program that will determine which candidates will be hired will now begin on Wednesday, June 29, and continue through Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Imo State University Auditorium in Owerri, Imo State. Every day at 9 a.m., the program begins, and attendance accreditation begins at 8 a.m.
Leo Stan Ekeh, chairman of the Zinox Group, will personally open the conference each day with a 15-minute session of inspiration. Only one of the daily training sessions must be attended by a potential candidate in order to be considered. Candidates who are interested in participating are advised to register on the LSEF website. For prospective applicants, participation and registration are free.
Each candidate who successfully registered on the internet will be given a specific day to attend the training session. During the training sessions, a carefully curated faculty of top-notch resource people will give masterclasses.
Participants would experience mentorship sessions, a finishing school course, knowledge empowerment, and business success sessions, among other things. Outstanding business owners who make the final cut may be eligible for interest-free financing to expand their operations, while others may be presented with job possibilities relevant to their areas of expertise.
In order to ease tension in each geopolitical zone of Nigeria, the project aims to provide the youth with high-quality possibilities, beginning with Imo State in the South East.
In order to re-train and certify qualified graduates, the foundation has partnered with tertiary institutions in the state and begun equipping them with best-in-class digital tools. If the Imo project is successful, the foundation plans to replicate this in a state in each geopolitical region of Nigeria.
