Liquid Intelligent Technologies Launches First Microsoft Azure Stack in Uganda to Boost Digital Transformation
Share

Liquid Intelligent Technologies (Liquid), a business of Cassava Technologies, has officially launched the first Microsoft Azure Stack in Uganda. This development marks a significant milestone in Uganda’s digital transformation journey, enabling local businesses to access cloud solutions that adhere to local data regulatory requirements.

The introduction of the Azure Stack hub aligns with Uganda’s Digital Transformation Roadmap, which aims to connect 90% of Ugandan households to the internet by 2040. Liquid’s investment in this infrastructure demonstrates its commitment to supporting this ambitious goal and furthering the country’s digital evolution.

Michael Mukasa, CEO of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Uganda, highlighted the transformative impact of the Azure Stack, stating that it will provide local businesses with cost-effective cloud solutions, improve compliance with data regulations, and enhance the efficiency of latency-sensitive business applications.

This is the fifth deployment of Microsoft Azure Stack by Liquid in Africa, reflecting the company’s expertise in facilitating digital transformation across the continent. The Azure Stack is expected to benefit not only large enterprises but also Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Uganda, promoting broader cloud adoption through flexible models.

For over 15 years, Liquid has been a key player in Uganda’s connectivity and technological advancements. With the Azure Stack, Liquid continues to lead in bringing innovative technology to drive economic and technological growth in Uganda and the East Africa region.
