Share

Olam Agri, a prominent agribusiness in Nigeria specializing in food, feed, and fiber, has received recognition at the Nigerian Business Leadership Awards (NBLA) while renewing its dedication to fortifying local agriculture value chains.

At the NBLA, Olam Agri Nigeria’s Country Head, Ashish Pande, was acclaimed as the Most Admired CEO in the Agriculture sector, acknowledging the company’s substantial contributions to the sector and support for the Federal Government’s economic development initiatives.

Expressing gratitude for the recognition, Pande highlighted Olam Agri’s growing investments across agriculture value chains, emphasizing their commitment to a sustainable Nigeria through the Seeds for The Future (SFTF) initiative.

He elaborated on the SFTF initiative’s multifaceted approach, which involves supporting farms, fostering youth education and skill development, empowering women, promoting health and nutrition, and reducing carbon emissions in business operations.

Olam Agri’s investments have notably bolstered productivity in rice milling, wheat milling, animal feed and poultry, edible oil, tomato, and cotton production sectors, contributing significantly to job creation within the local populace.

Frank Aigbogun, the awards organizer and Businessday Newspaper Publisher, emphasized the importance of recognizing businesses and leaders actively contributing to Nigeria’s economic growth, especially in navigating challenging business environments.

The accolade at the NBLA reaffirms Olam Agri’s commitment to sustainable agriculture practices, social impact initiatives, and its pivotal role in advancing Nigeria’s economy.
